Scholarships may be awarded based upon financial need and availability of funds. Our board has decided to adopt the same guidelines used by the Commonwealth of Virginia in determining eligibility for tax credit scholarship which determines eligibility by comparing the family’s gross annual income to the value of 3 times the federal poverty guideline. Scholarships are available for the cost of tuition only and do not apply to early care, after care, or other fees.
Applications are received by the preschool director, who will then submit anonymous versions of the applications to the scholarship committee of the preschool board for review. All personal financial information provided during the application process will remain confidential. Once a scholarship is awarded, the family is responsible for providing the remaining tuition, due on the dates outlined on the registration form.
